FAIR – Future Artificial Intelligence Research has launched the “Trustworthy AI – Short Stay Exchange Program for Researchers Italy-UK (TAI ShortStay)” for the years 2023 and 2024, in collaboration with The Alan Turing Institute.
The TAI ShortStay program aims to foster international collaboration and research exchange between Italy and the UK. It offers an excellent opportunity for Italian and British researchers to spend short periods studying and collaborating in qualified research institutions in each other’s countries.
The objective is to strengthen the scientific research of both Italian and UK researchers, promote internationalization and cooperation between the two countries, and foster technology transfer to address national industrial and societal challenges. In particular, the first edition of TAI ShortStay 2023–24 will support the exchange of 12 Italian and 12 British researchers, enabling them to spend short research periods in partner institutions abroad.
Two calls have been defined:
a) A call for UK2Italy TAI ShortStay 2023-24 for British researchers intending to spend their ShortStay in Italy. This call is financially supported by ATI.
b) A call for Italy2UK TAI ShortStay 2023-24 for Italian researchers intending to spend their ShortStay in the UK. This call is financially supported by FAIR. All information about the Italy2UK programme, including eligibility criteria, research topics, and the application process, can be found in the call.
Interested researchers from Italy are encouraged to submit their research proposals starting August 1, 2023.
