An event to showcase how artificial intelligence develops through dialogue between research, industry, and institutions
Milan, June 2025 – The FAIR Foundation presents the event “FAIR Ecosystem: AI between Research and Industry”, scheduled for July 14, 2025 at the Politecnico di Milano – Bovisa Durando Campus, Aula Carlo De Carli. A full day dedicated to showcasing the network of collaborations built over the past two and a half years around the FAIR project, supported by cascade calls that have fostered new synergies between research centers, universities, and companies.
The programme will open with institutional greetings, followed by an introduction from Giuseppe De Pietro, President of the FAIR Foundation. Program Manager Marta Rapallini will present the evolution of the research–industry ecosystem developed within FAIR, followed by a session dedicated to the projects funded through cascade calls across the five spokes represented in Milan (Spokes 2, 4, 7, 8, and 10), jointly presented by companies and researchers. The morning will conclude with a contribution from the AI Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano.
In the afternoon, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, a live event in collaboration with ANSA will take place, hosted by journalist and science communicator Alessio Jacona and streamed live on ansa.it. The talk show will feature panels and interviews with leading figures, including Giuseppe De Pietro (FAIR Foundation), Fabrizio Cobis (Ministry of University and Research, invited), Barbara Caputo (Politecnico di Torino – Spoke 7 Coordinator), as well as representatives from Bracco, Lutech, and Expert.ai, among others.

Throughout the day, companies funded through the FAIR cascade calls will have dedicated exhibition stands within the event space, where they can present their projects and engage directly with academic, industrial, and institutional partners from the FAIR ecosystem.
The event will conclude with a networking aperitif.
