The XIV Forum – Borsa della Ricerca, organized by the Emblema Foundation and the University of Catania, took place in Catania from October 25 to 27. The three-day event brought together numerous companies and key stakeholders involved in projects funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). FAIR met with 15 companies during one-to-one sessions and recorded over 70 participants in its workshop, where the project and its objectives were presented.
The Forum is the annual national event of the Borsa della Ricerca, involving all relevant stakeholders: companies, investors, universities, spin-offs, startups, research groups, and research centers. This edition introduced a new feature, the Expo PNRR: an exhibition area dedicated to research and development projects funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Each project had a dedicated space for meetings between delegates and R&D managers from participating companies. A rich program of workshops was also organized to present project progress and foster new collaborations.
The one-to-one meetings—scheduled independently in advance—are a defining feature of the Forum. Two weeks before the event, delegates can access a preview, explore participant profiles, and build their meeting agenda based on their interests and needs. Spin-offs and startups also have the opportunity to present their business ideas to the Forum audience through pitch sessions, offering companies and investors an additional evaluation moment.
