From entrepreneurial vision to a structured project
May 2025 – Starting from May 6, 2025, the doors open to an intensive experience: the Contamination Lab, a series of workshops designed and promoted by FAIR in collaboration with the Fondazione Emblema. The initiative is part of the second phase of the PNRR Placement Program and offers a training pathway focused on entrepreneurial orientation, aimed at FAIR’s newly recruited researchers who want to turn ideas into structured and sustainable business projects.
The workshops will be held online and will guide participants—new members of the FAIR network—in understanding how to tackle the challenges of entrepreneurship today, through practical tools such as case studies, peer exchange, and hands-on workshops.
The programme includes ten sessions, taking place between May, June, and July, on the following dates:
- May 23 – 2:00 PM The ABCs of Entrepreneurship
- May 30 – 2:00 PM The Business Model
- June 6 – 2:00 PM The Canvas
- June 13 – 2:00 PM Building a Network
- June 20 – 2:00 PM Personal Branding
- June 27 – 2:00 PM Online Communication
- July 4 – 2:00 PM Offline Communication
- July 11 – 2:00 PM Governance
- July 18 – 2:00 PM Working with Calls and Funding Opportunities
- July 25 – 2:00 PM The Pitch
Each module offers an opportunity to dive into key topics such as refining a business idea, building an effective business model, analyzing the market, and defining strategic directions. Participants will be able to immediately apply what they learn, engaging with real tools and validated methodologies.
This programme is designed to promote innovation, multidisciplinarity, and an entrepreneurial mindset, offering researchers and early-career professionals a dynamic and collaborative environment in which to develop their ideas. The sessions are not traditional lectures, but are structured to encourage exchange, interaction, and both personal and professional growth.
Taking part in the Contamination Lab also means joining a national network that believes in the potential of ideas and in the value of cross-disciplinary collaboration. Alongside its scientific mission, FAIR is committed to supporting the professional development of its community. The Placement Program, developed in collaboration with Fondazione Emblema and presented during the “Borsa del Placement” event held in L’Aquila on November 26, provides tools and pathways to facilitate entry into the job market for PhD candidates, fixed-term researchers, fellows, and post-docs involved in the FAIR project.
“This programme represents a key component of the Foundation’s strategy to offer new opportunities to researchers who have gained valuable experience within FAIR and are now ready to contribute to the labor market and to the AI ecosystem in Italy,” said Marta Rapallini, FAIR Program Manager.
