GenIAle live at Internet Festival 2025: the future of AI takes the stage at Teatro Verdi in Pisa

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Internet Festival will host the final live episode of GenIAle, the podcast on artificial intelligence produced by the FAIR Foundation in collaboration with Il Post. On the stage of Teatro Verdi in Pisa, for a final event hosted by Matteo Bordone (a unique live experience that will not be recorded and will be available exclusively to the audience in the theatre), two leading scientists from the FAIR research community will take part. In Pisa, Michela Milano (FAIR Spoke 8), professor at the University of Bologna and Director of the Alma Mater Research Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, expert in ethical aspects and pervasive AI, and Marco Gori (FAIR Spoke 1), professor at the University of Siena and a pioneer in machine learning and deep learning with internationally recognized contributions, will join the conversation.

Internet Festival is Italy’s largest event dedicated to digital culture and emerging technologies. For 15 years, every October, Pisa transforms into a widespread laboratory of ideas, discussions, and visions on the present and future of the internet and innovation. The 2025 edition focuses on the theme of “identity”, a topic that resonates strongly when discussing artificial intelligence across multiple dimensions: AI challenges our human identity by confronting us with machines capable of perfectly imitating us; it pushes us to protect our personal identity in a world of avatars and deepfakes; and it reflects our social identity, as it is shaped by our values—but also by our biases.

Across ten episodes, released between September 2024 and June 2025 and available on all streaming platforms, GenIAle has explored the world of artificial intelligence with a clear and curious approach, allowing listeners to engage with the complexities of this transformative technology and its social and ethical implications. It has also offered insight into the experience of FAIR, the largest public-private research partnership on AI funded by the PNRR. The event at the Internet Festival marks the conclusion of a year of conversations that have bridged the fast-paced evolution of AI in the market with the long-term vision of foundational research, addressing regulatory perspectives and the aspirations of the scientific community for a responsible and conscious development of this technology—one that enables meaningful progress for humanity.

The event at the Internet Festival is free and open to everyone: an opportunity to hear directly from those who, every day, contribute to imagining and building the future of artificial intelligence. The event will take place on Saturday, October 11 at 4:00 PM at Teatro Verdi in Pisa.
