The first Workshop on LLM for italian language organized in Rome by FAIR

In the framework of the PNRR project Future Artificial Intelligence Research – FAIR, Prof. Roberto Navigli (Sapienza Università di Roma) and Prof. Rita Cucchiara (Università di Modena e Reggio-Emilia and CNR) organized the first workshop on the development of Large Language Models (LLM) for the Italian language, marking the initial phase of the construction of an Italian and multilingual Large Multimodal Model.

The event has been held on Monday, December 18, at the Aula Magna of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica Automatica e Gestionale “Antonio Ruberti” of the Sapienza Università di Roma.

The event, whose agenda is available here, boasted a number of outstanding and committed international speakers on the topic: Marta Villegas (Barcelona Supercomputing Center), Georg Rehm, Malte Ostendorff and Pedro Ortiz (DFKI), Barry Haddow (University of Edinburgh), Sampo Pyysalo (University of Turku), Magnus Sahlgren (AI Sweden).
