Promoted by Fondazione FAIR, with Fondazione SERICS as co-proponent and a network of 17 partners, SINTESI has entered its operational phase. At the heart of the project is the development of a distributed hub connecting research, businesses and Artificial Intelligence expertise across Southern Italy.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Building a stable and distributed innovation hub in Southern Italy<\/strong>, capable of connecting research, businesses and expertise in Artificial Intelligence. This is one of the main objectives of SINTESI \u2013 Intelligent and Secure Cyber-Physical Systems for Healthcare, Industry and Society<\/strong>, a project promoted by Fondazione FAIR<\/strong>, with Fondazione SERICS as co-proponent<\/strong> \u2014 both established to implement initiatives funded under Italy\u2019s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) \u2014 and a network of 17 partners<\/strong>, including seven universities in Southern Italy, three research organisations, five SMEs, one large company and one micro-enterprise.<\/p>\n

On 23 September<\/strong>, the kick-off meeting<\/strong> was held at the National Research Council (CNR) in Rome<\/strong>, marking the operational launch of the project and the transition from the preparatory phase to the implementation of its activities.<\/p>\n

The meeting focused on SINTESI\u2019s main scientific and application areas: healthcare, industry, disinformation and cognitive security, technology transfer and training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A central part of the day was dedicated to the development of the distributed hub<\/strong>, structured around physical nodes in Catania, Naples, Salerno, Bari and Rende<\/strong>. Discussions addressed its architecture, services for businesses, responsibilities and working arrangements among the different organisations involved.<\/p>\n

With SINTESI, we aim to turn a network of scientific, technological and industrial expertise into a lasting capacity for research and innovation across the territories involved. The distributed hub in Southern Italy was created with precisely this goal: to connect expertise, infrastructure and needs, building relationships that can continue to generate value beyond the lifetime of the project, said Marta Rapallini, Extended Partnership FAIR Program Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The objective is to build a lasting research and innovation capacity across the territories involved<\/strong>, bringing together scientific, technological and industrial expertise and creating the conditions for the project\u2019s results to translate into infrastructure, services and new opportunities for collaboration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
